Our Pastor (Lawrence Neisent) at Destiny Christian Center http://destinychristian.com has read this and now has delivered to all our staff for reading and will be asking the entire staff to explore the utilization of twitter to enhance ministry. Great book Anthony.
Great book for us newbies. Two of my Pastors have created accounts and started leveraging the technology. Keep up the good work for the Lord.
I have read the book many times and know it very well (of course!). I have sent emails asking my pastor friends and ministry leadership to “know this well, twitter is relationship and read this book to learn how”. Love. It. Great book Anthony.
An excellent read for churches just stepping into the Twitter waters. Lots of helpful hints, techniques, and resource links. I’m not sure, though, that it will convince the non-Twitterer to convert. I don’t think they’ll be able to see how Twitter is better than email for what they’re already doing.
I have read it–need to reread as I am a total newby–but wish there was a black only print version for my black only laser printer.
I am a part time staff member and plan to present this to our pastors and vestry.

I appreciated the list of software, especially software that allows handling multiple accounts at one time such as Twhirl. Gonna have to check on that, though the Twitterfox Firefox plugin seems to work okay for me at the moment.
I’d love to see some more WM/PPC options. There are still quite a few of those devices out there. I like ceTwit myself, but there are a very small number of other WM clients. I think http://www.ping.fm may warrant a mention as well, though it’s not really Twitter-specific.
There’s a lot of info here to digest so I’m going to be re-reading some of this so I can present to our staff. I definitely plan to use it for our SS class, though. I can see the benefits quite clearly there. I also liked the idea about sending updates during the week to remind people of things that were preached/taught. I’m enjoying it, but am definitely a late-comer to Twitter. My first reaction was that it was just more noise. Seeing it recently, I can see that it has so much more potential. I’m sure I’ll have more to say later, but wanted to say thanks for getting me started in that thought-process.
I would second the motion for a b/w version of the book. In it’s current format it does not print well on a b/w office printer and I would probably use an entire color ink cartridge printing it on my color printer. I need to have a paper copy to read the book as I don’t have the time or patience to sit in front of my screen and read 63 pages of stuff. Thanks for this book. I am looking forward to reading it.
We’ve got a working version for a B&W version for better printing on Inkjet printers (most Laser printers seem to do fine) and are working out the download functionality. It’s coming!
